A Site Offering Free Online Reviews
Not much text today because the video I want to share is a bit longer than I’d like—about 4.5 minutes. However, you can fast forward through it and still get the highlights.
The video explains a site that allows you to upload a document for review by someone matching your writing background and skills. You, in turn, review something they, or someone with similar skills, has written. Give a review, get a review.
How would this be useful? Let’s say you’ve written a chapter or two and want feedback. This site is perfect for that. Not sure of “turn around time.” It is, of course, a free service.
You may want to invest a few minutes to at least pick your way through the video, or book mark the Review Fuse site for future reference. Who knows, what seems to have little value now, may be something you’ll use in the future.

I like the stick people art work in this video! I also like the “Review unto others as you would have them review unto you” line. This is something I’ll keep in mind for a later date.
Cool and indeed VERY useful. Thanks again, oh grand Vizier of all things online software downloadable and usually free. Got this one bookmarked for my later in the day going over stuff I’ve found while blog-hopping session. I have to compartmentalize my days, or I get a little bit of everything done and all of nothing.
The Old Silly
This is another great site. Thanks Galen. I’m going to check it out. There are many times I need near immediate feedback but can’t find it.
Stephen Tremp
I shall check this out and use it when I’m feeling very brave! Thanks for finding another gem, Galen. You’re a prince.
Elspeth
How DO you find these sites?
Very cool!

Mystery Writing is Murder
Interesting. If you do this, will you let us know how it goes?
Just wanted you to know I’m reading your novel and am blown away by your writing. And the story is positively captivating.
Dying to know if any of it is true?
karen
Ok–so I will tell the truth and say I didn’t watch the video only cause I am on Firefox and haven’t been able to download the thingy that allows me to see videos when I use this browser. But I appreciate that you find these things for us:)
Hey Galen,
I’ve used ReviewFuse before! Found it useful. But still prefer my critique group. I’d be interested to hear what other people think of it…
I’ve been a bit absent lately because my Internet access is limited — I’m at a writer’s residency in the woods in Georgia. But I wanted to let you know I’ve got a Q&A with Karen on my blog today! Please come by and say hi
Yeah, Jane, the stick people are pretty cute…they’re a speciality of mine, by the way. By all means, bookmark it. Someday it might be useful, if not for you, then maybe someone you know.
Good deal Marv, hope there’s something useful for you at the site. Of course, Fee is good.
My pleasure Steve. I do hope it’s timely that’s the one thing that wasn’t clear, how long it took to get your review back.
Elspeth, anyone who got you for a reviewer would be lucky indeed
I just follow Alan around and pick up things he discards, Elizabeth.
Oops, Hi, Alan, you snuck in right after Elizabeth. Yes, I do pick up your trash. It’s true I’ve not used it, but do think it might be a good Idea. Apparently, Alexis Grant has used it, though. Maybe one day she’ll give us a review.
Gee, Karen, that’s very gracious of you to say, thanks. I’m pleased you like the novel. However, like any good magician, I’ll never tell.
Oh, Terri, no need to watch the entire vid. Just bookmark the site and check in it out at your leisure. Maybe something you can use on of these days.
Hi, Alexis. Maybe sometime you’d write a brief review of the site for us. Thanks, I’ll wander over to say hi to Karen.
Very interesting concept – you have a real knack for finding these gems. I’m bookmarking it for now and will check it out. I’d love to hear what experiences people have had with this. Maybe a follow up post down the road?
Nancy, from Realms of Thought…
Oh, gosh, so much to read, so little time.
Neat. Not sure I’d use it, as I have a critique group, but I could see it being useful for someone who doesn’t.
