Im Urlaub.

By Galen, December 23, 2009 6:09 PM

I spent four years in Germany.  I know two phrases: “Where is the train station?” and,
“A beer, please.”  This next one I vaguely recall, as you can’t go anywhere in Germany during August without hearing it.  Soooooo…..

Wachhund-im-Urlaub I’m hoping Im Urlaub is German for, On Vacation. That’s what I’ll be until next week.  Please look for me again come the first Monday in January. We’ll call that the 4th.

Until then, I’m wishing you and your families a happy holiday season and a wonderful, safe, and productive new year.  Thanks for all your support in 2009.

Best wishes to you all.  Galen

Those phrases are about what I can still say in French, too. :)

  3. I heard someone use the phrase “let’s imagineer a narrative” on the TV yesterday, and I thought of this blog.

It’s becoming one of those business-speak words! Argh! Anyway. Happy Xmas.
