Life Without the Internet…
…is not worth living. I’m donating my organs to various organ joints and calling it quits.
My home internet connection died Sunday…without cause or a trace. Good old Comcast can’t get here to “fix” it until Wednesday. Wednesday!!! I shouldn’t complain, this is better than Thursday, the original date.
Of course, when (if) they show up, there’s no assurance the guy will have the skill or reasoning power to affect a repair. The issue is more than just plugging in a cable box and billing me for a fifty buck service call. This problem requires logic, systems analysis, and reasoning.
Bottom line for you?…I’ll be missing in action until…who knows when. In a perfect world, I’d be back here bugging you on Wednesday about 1PM. But in the world of things Comcast, nothing is a given, much less, perfect.
So, do your best to play nicely amongst yourselves until I can once again, be with you. I know it’s hard to continue without me…but I trust YOU CAN DO IT!
Thanks, and see you again…well…when Comcast says it’s okay.

No, I don’t think I *can* do it, Galen!
Hope they’ll get you up and running soon. Until then…enjoy the coffee shop!

This is most unfortunate, Galen. Guess I’ll have to make do with the posts I missed while I has on my latest writing jag. LOL
I hate when that happens! Good luck. You’ll be missed.
Ugh! Best of luck with Comcast. If only there were another option for internet besides AT&T. (That is to say there really isn’t another option.) Hope they show up for their appt and I look forward to your next post.

I’d just die without the internet. Rather dramatic I know, but true
Ouch, that sucks Galen. I guess I’ve been lucky so far. I have Comcast, but I’ve had few problems. Here’s hoping you’re back up and running soon.
UGH! I use Comcast– I’d die too without Inernet! Come back soon!
That sucks! Hope you’re back soon.
More time to write, without distractions! ‘Tis a blessing, matey.
Sorry about that! I would DIE without the Internet. Okay, maybe not die, but feel really stressed.
As M.J. said – time to do some writing!
Life without the internet. I vote no. Come back soon. *small sob*
Been there. It sucks big time. Here’s hoping my RoadRunner doesn’t die.
We’ll miss you while you’re gone. But hey, maybe this will free the fingers for more writing? Cheers!
Galen – all is not lost, man! Got to the library or if you got a laptop hit the nearest wife cafe, dude – I do it all the time, in fact those are the ONLY times I’m online. I hade to take internet out of the condo cuz I was getting so addicted to the WWW I wasn’t getting any work done, lol.
