Hooo Raaay!! We have winners, three actually.  They are: Elspeth, Jan (AKA, Crazy Jane) and Carolyn! Congratulations. I’ll contact each, get their mailing address, and sometime around the end of March, mail each a copy of Hearts

I know you’re dying to learn the mystery picture answers. Each of you who guessed did way better than I would have done; I promise you. Great job.

Here are the official answers…. and a few more, just for fun!

So, the message is clear…don’t age!  The advice is too late for me, but maybe you can figure a way to stay as you are!

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you have time to visit on Wednesday!  More free books to come!

    I’ll work on that, Galen.
Some of those people aged gracefully. However, Kelly McGillis was not one of them!

  2. You know, a couple of these people look better than they did back in the day!

    Cool contest!

I think the lesson is clear. Fear the chin. The people who fared worst are those with the falling faces… Love looking at those though!

  4. Ralph and Billy still look good. What is it about redheads that they age better? Hey, that’s good news for me!

  5. Uh-oh, poor Howdy Doody. I’m afraid I’ll have that visual every time we grill out.

It was fun seeing how people (other that myself) age.

  6. Hurray! I’m a winner! The Howdy-Dowdy picture will stay with me for some time. Thanks, Galen.

  7. Woo hoo! The biggest shock for me was Peter O’Toole’s aging, I’d seen him in Troy and was flabbergasted.
Debra Winger!! That one was bugging me.

  8. Love the Howdy Doody one!

What I love about all of them is that they proudly wear their real age instead of hiding behind botax and uplifts. They may have been more conventionally attractive when they were younger, but they still look good now.
And I can’t get over how old Kelly McGillis looks. She was one of the faces I loved when I was in college, and now she looks “old”. Fifty-two is NOT old. Heck, eighty-two is not old either.

  10. I like that these people wear their age authentically. We aren’t suppose to look like we did in our youth.
    Fun post!

  11. Well, poo. See what I missed by getting bogged down in other chores instead of visiting my blogger friends? This was a very fun challenge. At least I got here in time to see all the answers. :)
