Where Am I?
Hi, all! I know I’ve done a poor job of blog visiting the past week. I apologize. Regrettably, it’s gotta continue for at least a couple days more. Why? I’m in pursuit of the wily trout on New Mexico’s San Juan river. Hooray!
We were away over the weekend at my step-daughter’s wedding in Seattle. It was very nicely done, and everyone seemed to have a good time.
While there, I got to visit with old friends for a couple of hours before the wedding. How nice is it to see old friends again. Very, very pleasant. If you get the chance to renew old friendships, please consider doing it. It feels great.
I’ll probably be back with some nonsensical, non-informative, unnecessary post on Friday. Hey, it’s what I do. Hope to see you here nonetheless. Galen.
P.S. Your books are, in fact, in the mail—as of Friday AM.

Hi Galen! Hope you have a great time fishing and catching up with friends. Sounds like a great week to me!

Mystery Writing is Murder
That was a quick trip to Seattle then!
I agree that it’s great to see old friends. It can be hard to do with everyone spread across the country. A group of old friends (I don’t mean age wise, although thinking about it, they are old! They have to be because we’ve known each other for over 40 years) plan get-togethers twice a year – once at the races in Arkansas and once in Las Vegas. Sometimes there may be six of us, sometimes 15 or 16.
I can’t wait to start reading your book. In the meantime, I’m going to hurry and finish the one I have started.
Good luck tracking and catching those trout!
I am proud to be in the circle of Old friends with Galen, Though truth be told I am much younger than the famous blogger. What is remarkable is how the past threads are picked up and the basis for friendship gets a little better each time. It was a wonderful time. I would encourage others to do this.

Hook the big one!
Enjoy your time away Galen. I’m envious, but oh well. Oh, and if you catch a big one, we DO expect a picture of it.
Tell us about your catches when you return!

I received my book, Galen — thanks a bunch. I’m way behind in my reading, but yours goes to the favored TBR stack on the end table by my favorite reading chair. Thanks again.
Hi! Just wanted to let you know that I got the book in the mail today too. Looking forward to reading it soon!
